Some generative questions for High School Teachers from the Joiner Institute Director, Tom Kane. Feel free to respond in the comments below or by contacting Alan or Mitch directly in the Contact Us page:
From Tom Kane: "I am testing out the new website by posting a few questions to the HS project participants: 1. In addition to course curriculum and lessons plans on the topic of war and its consequences, I am wondering if there is interest among high school teachers in having combat veterans, family members of combat veterans, war refugees and others directly affected by war come in to their high schools to talk about the experience and consequences of war. 2. Would any high school teachers be interested in attending our annual Joiner Institute writers workshop during the last two weeks of June on the UMass Boston campus? 3. Would any high school teachers be interested in bringing a class of their students on a field trip to UMass Boston to visit the Joiner Institute, attend one of our Special Speaker Series events, or other relevant activity the Joiner Institute is sponsoring?"
